In a free initial meeting we discuss the project details and expected outcomes. Following this meeting, time and cost estimates will be provided.
Bioinformatics analysis
After project terms have been agreed, the client provides access to the data and bioinformatics analysis begins.
PRESENTING RESULTS
Regular updates are provided to the client (via video calls, emails and/or messaging apps). These discussions often feed back into the bioinformatics analysis, making this step and the prior one an iterative process.
project completion
Upon completion of the project (as defined by prior-agreed milestones), all data and scripts are shared with the client alongside any other agreed documents e.g. reports, figures, methods write-up etc.
My name is Catherine Sargent and I have worked as a bioinformatician for more than 15 years. In 2020, I made the transition from working in academia to working as a freelance bioinformatics consultant. Since then, I have supported a variety of academic and biotech clients in analysing their biological data, empowering them to derive meaningful insights and drive their research forward.
